Collaborative Accelerated Master’s Program in Chemical Engineering between Holy Cross and WPI

The Collaborative Accelerated Master’s Program (CAMP) in Chemical Engineering between Holy Cross and WPI allows undergraduate students at Holy Cross, after graduating with their bachelor’s degree, to pursue a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at WPI in an accelerated manner. Holy Cross students in majors relevant to Chemical Engineering (e.g., Chemistry) may be eligible for this program.

This accelerated master’s program is part of the Collaborative Accelerated Master’s Programs (CAMPs) Framework between Holy Cross and WPI. In addition to the rules and regulations stipulated in the CAMPs Framework between Holy Cross and WPI, the following sections provide additional information and rules specific to students who wish to obtain their M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering at WPI as part of this CAMPs Framework.

Holy Cross students interested in this Accelerated Master’s Program in Chemical Engineering at WPI are encouraged to consult with their undergraduate academic advisor and with the CAMP in Chemical Engineering Coordinators at Holy Cross and at WPI about course selection that would best prepare them for the master’s degree in chemical engineering at WPI. Students are encouraged to take recommended Chemical Engineering and Engineering Science (ES) coursework from WPI during their sophomore and junior years at Holy Cross, to prepare for the coursework in Chemical Engineering at the senior and graduate levels.

Unless otherwise noted, Holy Cross undergraduate courses carry 2 WPI graduate credits. Please note that WPI undergraduate courses are subject to an internal credit conversion when being counted for a WPI graduate degree, with 3 WPI undergraduate credits being equivalent to 2 WPI graduate credits.

Students are recommended to take preparatory courses prior to taking graduate courses. Note that these courses cannot be counted towards the M.S. degree (since they are below the senior level). Unless specifically noted, students should check with their Holy Cross advisors to determine whether these courses can count (as electives, for example) towards their Holy Cross B.A. degree.
