The Collaborative Accelerated Master’s Program (CAMP) in Computer Science between Smith College and WPI allows undergraduate students at Smith College, after graduating with their bachelor’s degree, to pursue a master’s degree in Computer Science at WPI in an accelerated manner. Smith College students in majors relevant to Computer Science (including but not limited to Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Statistical and Data Sciences) or who otherwise have the necessary coursework may be eligible for this program.
Students in this accelerated master’s program must satisfy all the requirements of their bachelor's degree at Smith College and all the requirements of their master’s degree in Computer Science at WPI. WPI allows these students to count toward their master’s degree up-to two of their advanced senior-level undergraduate courses, from a list of eligible Smith College courses. Eligible Smith College students wishing to pursue an accelerated master’s in Computer Science at WPI are encouraged to consult with their own undergraduate academic advisor, and the Smith College and WPI CAMP in Computer Science Coordinators (names provided later in this document) about course selection that would best prepare them for the master’s degree in Computer Science at WPI. Unless otherwise noted, Smith College undergraduate courses carry 2 WPI graduate credits. Please note that WPI undergraduate courses are subject to an internal credit conversion when being counted for a WPI graduate degree, with 3 WPI undergraduate credits being equivalent to 2 WPI graduate credits.
