Information on financial assistance in the form of loans is available through the WPI Office of Financial Aid. Students who are U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or other eligible noncitizens, as defined by the U.S. Department of Education, may be eligible for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan Program.
To qualify, students must be admitted unconditionally to a graduate degree-granting program, be enrolled at least half-time (a minimum of four credits in a semester), submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), meet all applicable federal student aid eligibility requirements, and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Satisfactory academic progress for federal student aid eligibility is evaluated annually at the end of the spring semester.
Private educational loans may also be available to students enrolled in graduate or certificate programs, as well as to students who are enrolled less than half-time. International students and other non-U.S. citizens who are not eligible for federal student aid may qualify for private educational loans with a creditworthy U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident cosigner.
