This certificate offers graduate students a transdisciplinary experience focused on "wicked problems"—complex socio-technical challenges that cannot be solved by a single discipline. Using WPI’s brand of design theory and practice, students develop strategic thinking, empathy, and cross-cultural competency to co-create innovations with diverse stakeholders.

Learning Outcomes

Students completing this certificate will be able to:

Admissions Requirements

Applicants are expected to have an undergraduate degree (BA or BS). Current WPI students may apply in accordance with WPI policies.
