Admissions Requirements

This certificate program enrolls participants based on their education and/or professional experience. Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a four-year US bachelor's degree in Biology or related life sciences field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0 and have successfully completed college-level calculus (MA 1021 and MA 1022) to be considered for enrollment.

Requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Quantitative Biology

The Graduate Certificate in Quantitative Biology is composed of 12 credits of coursework that includes a minimum of 6 credits of Math courses, including MA511, plus a minimum of 3 credits of Applied Quantitative Biology Coursework. The final 3 credits of coursework can be fulfilled with either additional coursework from the prior two categories, or with another graduate course offered by the department of Biology and Biotechnology. A maximum of 3 credits of independent study (BCB ISG) can be applied toward certificate requirements.
